Quest Aircraft is pleased to announce the successful first flight of S/N002, the second production KODIAK aircraft to take to the skies.
The aircraft, which will be delivered to the customer early next month, flew for about an hour on Tuesday, November 6.S/N002 joins S/N001 and the KODIAK prototype in the fleet, as work on the production line continues to accelerate.
“The successful flight of our second production airplane is another milestone for the KODIAK program,” said Paul Schaller, Quest Aircraft’s President and CEO. “This has been a remarkable year for Quest and we couldn’t have come this far without a lot of hard work and dedication on the part of everyone involved with the KODIAK program.”

Quest KODIAK receives FAA certification
Quest Aircraft Company announced today the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has granted type certification (TC) to its KODIAK aircraft. The receipt of TC A00007SE for the clean-sheet design airplane comes 32 months after the first flight of the KODIAK prototype and just 2½ months after first flight of the first fully conforming KODIAK.

Second KODIAK aircraft enters flight test program
Quest Aircraft announced today the successful first flight of s/n 001, the first fully conforming production aircraft. N491KQ took to the skies on Friday, March 16 at 3:00 p.m. from Quest’s facility at the Sandpoint Municipal Airport. The aircraft flew for approximately 45 minutes and performed as planned, meeting all specifications. N491KQ joins the KODIAK prototype in the FAA certification testing program.
